Marieanne Suarez
Board President
Marieanne Suarez is a senior software developer with 30 years of experience, bringing analytical insight and dedication to every area of her life. Beyond her technical career, she has been a passionate pro-life advocate, serving both Loving Choice and previously a Birthright center. At Birthright, she initiated and led Mommy Classes to support new and expectant mothers with education and encouragement.
Marieanne has been involved with Loving Choice since its inception, helping turn the vision for the center into a reality. A long-time participant in the Rally for Life in Austin and the annual Life Chain, Marieanne believes women deserve compassionate, truthful, and practical support—delivered with love, kindness, and dignity. She and her husband, Hector, are blessed with two children and are active members of Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where Marieanne serves as an OCIA catechist, lector, and Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EMHC).

Terry Keane
Vice President
Terrence P. (Terry) Keane retired after working 40 years in the upstream oil and gas industry. He was CEO for the last two service companies with which he was employed. Terry is married with two children and one grandchild. He is a member of Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Community where he was a catechist for 31 years and Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council 10872 for seven years. He has been a Special Olympics coach for 25 years.
Terry has been associated with Loving choice since its inception serving as either an advisor to the Board or a Board Director.

Dean Crowhurst
Vice President
Dean Crowhurst is a semi-retired attorney, having represented clients from the public and private sectors, as well as charitable organizations. His legal representation has included handling various matters in diverse areas of the law, including municipal law (public procurement, open records and meetings, conflicts of interest. legislation, government regulations, parliamentary procedure, subdivisions, easements, etc.), contracts, land use and zoning, construction and development, commercial real estate transactions, public-private partnerships, employment and public utilities, and personnel matters. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California at Davis and his Juris Doctor degree from George Mason University’s Antonin Scalia Law School. Prior to his career in law, Dean served for 22 years as a Naval Flight Officer in the United States Navy, twelve years on active duty and ten years as a reservist, retiring from the Navy in October 2008.
Dean and his wife Evelyn have been active in pro-life activities for over two decades, having participated for many years in the annual March for Life in Washington, DC, the annual Life Chain in Northern Virginia, and, since their recent move to Texas, the Rally for Life in Austin. Dean and Evelyn are proud parents of three adult children and grandparents of eight wonderful grandchildren. They are active parishioners at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in the Woodlands.

Bill Moeller
Secretary
William J. (Bill) Moeller retired from HP Inc after a 23-year engineering career in the information technology business and 28 years of active and reserve service in the US Army. Bill has been active in the pro-life movement since 1985. He served as the Knights of Columbus Houston Chapter Pro-Life Director from 2018-2022. Previously from 2016-18, Bill served as the Knights of Columbus Diocesan Deputy for the Archdiocese of Galveston – Houston and its 120 councils with 22,000 knights. Bill and his wife Bridget reside in Spring, TX. They are active parishioners at Sts Simon and Jude Parish in The Woodlands, TX. The Moellers have one son Will, who serves in the US Army. Bill and Bridget are active marathon runners and are members of Team Life Runners who share the pro-life message while running.

Bill Sanchez
Treasurer
William A. (Bill) Sanchez retired from Exxon Mobil Corporation after a distinguished 38-year career in Controllership, Financial Analysis, and Project Management. A dedicated advocate for life, he has been active in the pro-life movement for more than three decades. Bill and his wife, Rita, are blessed with seven children and five grandchildren (so far). They are parishioners at Prince of Peace Catholic Community, where Bill serves in the Pro-Life and Mercy ministries and currently leads as Grand Knight of Knights of Columbus Council #8482.

Marlo McManus
Director
Marlo McManus is a dedicated Registered Nurse with a Bachelor’s degree in HealthCare Management, boasting over 30 years of experience in the healthcare field. She is married to David and is a proud mother of four and grandmother to five. Marlo’s commitment to respect life ministry is deeply rooted in her personal journey as an adopted child and a teen mother, which fuels her passion for helping others. An active member of St. Simon and Jude Catholic Church in The Woodlands, Marlo serves her parish as a Eucharistic Minister for the Homebound and is involved in event planning. She has successfully initiated parish programs such as the Gabriel Project and St. Joseph Ministry. Additionally, she volunteers with Loving Choice and collaborates with the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston on Project Rachel, further demonstrating her enthusiasm for community service.

Fr. James Burkart

V. Rev. James Burkart, pastor of Christ the Good Shepherd Catholic Community and ex officio member of the board, serves as the Vicar Forane (Dean) of the San Jacinto Deanery of the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Houston, a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Systematic Theology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, and a Master of Divinity in Liturgical Studies from the University of Notre Dame du Lac.
